Maine Mendoza answers 100 Questions in YES! magazine.

This February, Maine Mendoza goes solo for the first time on the cover of YES! magazine.

The 22-year-old phenomenal TV star had an exclusive photo shoot that shows her donning 10 varied outfits, and expressing different moods.

She also gave an interview in which she answered 100 prepared questions, plus on-the-spot follow-up questions.

The interview was peppered with lots of laughter, usually courtesy of Maine, whose innate wit can make her crack a joke or whip up a punch line so effortlessly, using just plain observation.
Here’s a sampler of the YES! interview with Maine:
1. If you could go back in time, which era would you choose to go back to?

Umm, Jurassic Era. [Laughs]. Hindi, siguro ’yong ’80s po. Gusto kong makita ’yong parents ko as teenagers. Kung paano sila kasi…Tingnan ko, mamaya nagagalit sila sa mga ginagawa ko ngayon, ’ta’s gano’n din pala sila… ‘Hoy, Mary Ann! [Laughs] Anak mo ’ko, hindi mo lang alam. Hindi mo pa ako kilala pero…” [Laughs.]

2. How do you envision your dream house? How will it look?

Dream ko po kasi talaga, tumira sa mansion ever since. So siguro, bahay lang with enough space for developing purposes. Lobby pa lang, pasabog na. Ewan ko, gusto ko talaga ng malaking bahay—two-story. Modern po. May pool, merong movie room, merong garden.

Would it be in the mountain? Beside the sea?

Uhh, overlooking the city po siguro. Baka masyado naman akong malumbay kapag nasa dagat. Kahit na favorite ko ’yon, feeling ko, di ko rin carry na araw-araw. Bakasyon-bakasyon lang.

Hindi mo pa alam ang design?
Hindi pa po, e. Gusto ko ng ano, e, black and white. Kaso, feeling ko, medyo malungkot. Di ba po, ano?

3. Guilty pleasures?

Stealing hotel toiletries.

Di naman stealing ’yon. Kasama naman sa binayaran mo ’yon.

Ay, sabagay, binayaran ko… Kasi parang nakakahiya… Opo, lalo na sa mga magagandang hotels abroad, magaganda ang mga toiletries nila. Pati sa kabilang kuwarto, kinukuha ko. Haha!

4. Ano’ng mas mahirap—telling your crush na gusto mo siya, or telling somebody na may crush sa ’yo na ayaw mo siya?
’Yong latter po, telling somebody na hindi mo siya gusto. Kasi ayokong nakakasakit ng damdamin ng iba. Charot!

May charot na naman!... Kasi very vocal naman po ako with how I feel, so hindi po problema sa ’kin ’yon.
